    		 I've had several other encounters with large quantities of psilocybin mushrooms and lsd and I was not at all uneasy.

    That makes me think that I could handle peyote fairly well.

    The point that don Juan made to Carlos Castaneda is that his psyche had to be broken down to accepting that there are other realms of consciousness. Since I've already done that, I don't feel that a peyote trip is necessary.

    Also, he makes the point that not everyone has to use "power plants" to get to that point. Rather, it is the more hard headed among us that need it.
