It all seems kind of pointless but my digital cable company just started to carry Teletoon Retro. I loved watching the old Bugs Bunny and Porky Pig cartoon shorts uncut on Teletoon Retro but I watched Merrie Melodies yesterday and the network put forward a disclaimer that said "The following program is true to the time period durring which it was created and the views expressed do not nessacerarilly reflect those of Teletoon. VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED!!"
What the hell is wrong with just saying: "The following program, Merrie Melodies, contains language and scenes that are not suitible for all family members. WE STRONGLY ADVISE BOTH VIEWER AND PARENTAL DISCRETION IN VIEWING THIS SHOW?"?

I think the fact they need to put a disclamer of any type is stupid. However we don't want to piss the Soccer Moms, LULAC or the NAACP off either.
Actually Teletoon Retro is a Canadian channel and we don't have the NAACP here. We only have the Civil Libreties Union and even that can sometimes be abused.
