New Nickelodeon logo?

In recent Nickelodeon merchandise and ads made, the famous orange splat logo wasn't seen in any of them, instead there's a different logo. Now I'm not sure if this "possibly" NEW logo is permanent or not, but remember people, it's just a logo, as long as the programming stays the same, then it's not a problem. I actually like this new logo because it looks very similar to the old logo from the early 80s. But the orange splat logo is too well known, if they change the logo, how will this effect Nickelodeon, and its ratings? Is this Nickelodeon's response to their 30th Anniversary, to change the logo and make it look similar to the old logo. Who knows. I just had to post this because while some people on this site grew up with the old logo, most of us grew up with the current logo. Here's what the logo looks like.

Its finally happen all channels got rid of their older material, Nickelodeon was first(Nicktoons plays very very few older stuff)Disney was second(they even fucked up a channel that was made just for the older stuff and changed the name to XD)
Cartoon Network finished it by not airing anything older than 2003(there are the few occasions when they might play something old for like a hour)

Im finished with those channels, time to torrent some old shows.

Hmm... the 1980s Nickelodeon logo mixed with Nickelodeon's orange style. Interesting. Well, they've had their orange splat logo since 1985 so I could see why it's time to change their logo.

For the new logo, it actually looks pretty good. It has more of a 70s look to it. Just too bad their programming isn't any better.

Well people, it's official, Nickelodeon will be changing their logo as part of their 30th Anniversary. It's an end of an era for Nickelodeon. In recent years Nickelodeon has been getting rid of a lot of things that have been around since the 20th Century. All we have left of Nickelodeon of the 20th Century are Nick at Nite (1985), Kids Choice Awards (1988 ), Nick News (1991), and let's not forget, Spongebob Squarepants (1999).

All companies change their logos, you guys didn't get it as bad as us Canadian's. The YTV and Teletoon logos and bumpers were amazing, now they're horrible and unoriginal. Maybe you can still see those logos on your retro channels (IIRC, Nick and CN have retro channels with older shows).

Exactly! since the channel itself is crap, might as well have a matching logo to go with it right?

and now you can all flame the thing i just said as i sit back and ignore it and cry myself to sleep cuz of all the bad stuff you said.

I could pretty much care less if Nickelodeon were to change their logo. As long as they still air programming that's targeted for kids, then that's all that matters.

I don't care, Nickelodeon still sucks.
If I still liked the channel, I'd compliment that new logo, but I hate Nickelodeon, so I don't give a ****.
