That box means the picture you're linking to doesn't exist or can't find it. Are you sure you're uploading it properly? You're not just copying the location of the picture on your harddrive and pasting it, are you... ? Go to a place like photobucket.com, flickr, tinypic.com, or imageshack and upload it there and grab the URL.
If that's not the problem, are the format of the pictures GIF? I heard they weren't supported so make sure the pictures are JPG.
