I knew it! That merchant guy from the beginning of the 1992 Disney movie, Aladdin is a total racist! In fact, the opening musical scene from that movie has one lyric, "Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face" rewritten as "Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense."

I mean, that merchant from Disney's Aladdin is responsible for all those protests from Arab Americans complaining that the guy at the start of Disney's Aladdin dared to mention about the Middle East what most of us here in the USA were merely thinking. I think Disney have learned a lession that The Middle East is a barren wasteland where the justice system runs on a clear and simple limb-removal policy.

So, do you remember that racist Merchant from Disney's Aladdin? What's your quotes from that racist Disney character? Do you recall the controversy surrounding that guy at the start of Disney's Aladdin? Well, what's your thoughts and opinions on the racist Merchant guy from the beginning of Disney's Aladdin (1992)?

You care about censorship too much. Who cares if it offends someone?

No, what I am trying to show you is that Racist Merchant Guy at the start of Disney's Aladdin (1992). Here's his entry in Cracked.com's Nine Most Racist Disney Characters:

    wrote:
The Merchant from Aladdin-The opening musical sequence from the hugely popular 1992 animated film had to be edited due to protest from Arab-American groups for saying about the Middle East what most of us were merely thinking.

    Lesson Learned:
The Middle East is a barren wasteland where the justice system runs on a clear and simple limb-removal policy.

    Best (Worst?) Moment:
"Where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face" is the offending line, which was changed on the DVD to the much less provocative "Where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense." Whatever. Our question: In a city full of Arabic men and women, where the hell does a midwestern-accented, white piece of cornbread like Aladdin come from? Here he is next to the more, um, ethnic looking villain, Jafar.

See, Mezease Master, That is the guy I'm talking about, the Merchant from Disney's Aladdin.

Sounds accurate to me. A ruling cleric in Iran wants to execute protesters for the opposing party. If that doesn't scream backwards judicial system, I don't know what does.

Well, I remember that song as a kid growing up in my home in Crownsville, Maryland, I still got my blank VHS tape containing a recording the 1990 VHS release of Disney's Peter Pan, among other recordings, either somewhere in the attic or somewhere else.

Uh, I think that's a racist tribal Native American Indian ritual pow wow chant that sounds like an Oompa Loompa song from Willy Wonka...It's a very racist Disney song, but hey! It's 1953, stupid!

There was nothing racist in that movie.

Disney never listens to the fans.

How much did it cost to edit the movie?

I thought that the original lyric for the song (the only one I knew of until recently, since I still have an original taping of it), was to show how tough it was to survive in such a place. I mean, look at Jazmine for the movie. She was about to get her hand chopped off since she was accused of stealing.

How is it racist? Hes a character set in the middle east! What was it supposed to be a white man?

"will not break. (taps item on table) It broke"
" The last man nearly ruined this place/He didn't know what to do with it/If you think this countrys bad off now just what till I get through with it":D
