For those born in the later eighties like myself, it's a good bet that Sailor Moon was among your first anime shows. You had Serena (or Usagi, depending on whether you prefer the dub or the original), who of course transformed into the champion of justice, Sailor Moon. There were originally five main Sailor Scouts (or Senshi, again, depending on your preference): Venus, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter along with the title character. They later included different characters who became Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, and Uranus.

Now for me, being a boy in the early nineties meant I was more interested in Sonic the Hedgehog. However, on most mornings I would wake up early enough to catch the last ten minutes of an episode of Sailor Moon. Most of these episodes are now online on sites such as Youtube in original and dub forms. I never really watched the show, but I had a decent idea of who the characters were; a knowledge that has been expanded due to the internet.
All of this Political Correctness junk is going to turn me into a modern day Archie Bunker before I turn 30.

I was born in 1982 and loved this show since high school mainly for the hot girls like Sailor Venus, oh man she's defintiely my ideal dreamgirl of animation.

I hated Sailor Moon. she was such a wimp. Every battle she waits til the other guys do all the work and delivers the final blow and takes all the credit.

I used to like this series a lot, but, imo, the manga is way better, especially when it came to characters like Mamoru/Tuxedo Kamen and ChibiUsa/Chibi Moon. ChibiUsa was better characterized in the manga, and Tuxedo Kamen did more than deliver corny lines. I liked the fact that both Chibi Moon and Sailor Moon could use the attack Moon Gorgeous Mediation. I like the fact that the outers were included for Sailor Moon SuperS. I like the fact that Hotaru/Saturn wasn't "ditched" like she pretty much was for the anime, and the same goes for Setsuna/Pluto.

I liked the Asteroid Senshi (Amazoness Quartet), Rei's two guardians, etc. I liked the fact that Sailor V was referenced a whole lot more manga wise compared to the anime.

I liked the fact that the Starlights didn't "gender bend" when doing their henshin.

Anywho, those are just a few of the things I liked about the manga. I could go on but I'll stop there.

The main thing I did dislike for the manga, which was also done in the anime, was the fazing out of both Naru and Umino. It sure would've been nice to see what high school those two ended up going to, and it's sad that Naru was fazed out since she was Usagi's best friend.

I've always considered Tuxedo Mask kinda cool, cool enough to have his own dark, batman-esque spinoff too :P

He was one character I didn't care for much, anime wise, because he didn't really do much. He just threw a rose and delivered corny, unnecessary lines. At least in the manga, he and Chibi Moon have kind of a father/daughter attack. =P

Oh, his role was bigger in the manga too...like in the SuperS arc when it came to his crystal.
