The smelly markers they had when I was in elementary, the ones everyone used to fight over. I like the smell of gasoline too. Brand new tennis shoes also, and new house and apartment smells are the best. I went to look at apartments not to long ago and it still had the brand new smell.

My friend's basement at his old house. I don't know what it is but I love the smell of basements. Then I hadn't smelled that smell for a number of years (about ten) and upon working at my current job I was reunited with the exact smell when I walked into the beer cooler and then I realized something. It was the smell of freon from an old refrigerating unit. Oh lord...I'm gonna get cancer.

Cow-gum glue had a distintive smell, not that I sniffed glue or anything. The fumes hit you as soon as you opened the can, used the stuff in school! There was also another glue that smelt of fish, kind of like a thick PVA glue. Haven't come across either these since I was about 10.

I always used to love the smell of my local video store. I also used to love the smell of a clamshell case video box after opening it when it was brand new.

The smells of the boardwalk at the shore...the combination of the sea breeze, the tar-like smell in the wood and the aroma of the different food concessions (pizza, fried chicken, seafood, fries, burgers, funnel cakes, candy being made, etc.).
The smell of the cottage my family used to rent in Ocean City, Maryland when I was a kid.
The smell of hot dogs, burgers and steaks cooking on the grill.
The smell of new electronics (stereo equipment, etc.) when you take them out of the box for the first time.
The smells of the New York City subway.
The smell of perfumes/colognes that girls I had crushes on during my teens used to wear.
The smell of a new school bus at the beginning of the school year.
The smell of a roast/vegetables cooking in a crock pot (slow cooker) permeating the house.
The sweet perfume-like smell of someone's fireplace burning wafting through the air on a cool, crisp autumn/winter evening.
The smell of a clean motel/hotel room when you first check in.

The smell of the school pizza. When I went to drop my nephew off to class the smell hit me and I felt like it was kindergarten again.
