Yep. LeBron's most likely going to be feeding Shaq next season:

I wonder what they're going to do with Ilgauskas?

I'd imagine they would keep him because Shaq probably won't be a full-time player.

That kind of sucks for him. I hate to see anyone have to go to Cleveland.

I wonder how LeBron feels. He's trying to be better than Kobe, now he has Shaq, whom Kobe wanted to get away from to prove he could win a championship by himself.

supposedly, LeBron and Shaq have known each other and been friends since LeBron was still in high school.

I had never heard that nip, but that doesn't change the fact that LeBron is trying to get out of Kobe's shadow, who spent a considerable amount of time trying to get out of Shaq's shadow.

yes, it's a very interesting point you're making. I don't think Shaq has enough talent to shadow someone like LeBron anymore, however.

There is a slight chance that these teams are assembling the best assortment of players to win basketball games.

They might not necessarily care who is playing in who's shadow. Seems preposterous, I know.

UH! I CAN'T TALK BAD BOUT KOBE!
    SO UM...
    LERBRON CAN'T WIN WITHOUT ME!
    CHYEA!

Guarantee you Shaq makes this rap after they win the NBA Championship the first time and Lebron makes it back and loses after Shaq retires...

The question is: which transaction will be more disappointing, Shaq to Cleveland or Carter to Orlando?

Maybe not now when he's on the decline, but in his prime shaq put fear in the hearts of men. He had dudes jumping of bridges to escape and hiding in caves like it was the end of the world. In his hey day even lebron would have been his shadow.

perhaps, but you have to give LeBron more respect...it's a matter of size vs. talent. Shaq has never been able to shoot a basketball.

That is very true, he usually makes 10% at the free throw line

Shaq has talent. Unfortunately shooting jumpers has never been one of them. It's not just size vs talent because of lot of players taller than lebron including centers don't have his skill or strength. Shaq may have never been the most talented player in the league even in his hey day,but he was the most dominant force in the league for a number of seasons.

Yes, because of his size. He'd pump the ball a couple times and then put it into the hoop point-blank. His strength (due to his size) made it difficult to remove the ball from his hands while he was going to the basket.

You're not going to find a center that has the same skill set LeBron has. He's a small forward. It's a completely different position, and his type of athleticism is not expected in a center. If you compare Ilgauskas and Shaq, however, you can see the lapse in talent in Shaq. Ilgauskas can shoot the ball. They even trust him to nail a 3-pter once in a while. Shaq would most definitely airball if he even attempted a 3-pter. His NBA career started in '92. Since then, he's 1-21 from 3-pt. land, which is 4.8%. Ilgauskas's career started in '97 and he's 20-76. That's 26.3% from 3-pt. land. Not bad, not the best, but definitely better than Shaq.

    i agree completely

I have been hassled so much about people saying lebron is better cause kobe cant win without shaq, but now that kobe won without him and if lebron wins with him. Their will be hell to pay with cavs fans.

Can't agree with the size thing. There have been a number of centers his size who couldn't do what he's done or were feared in that manner.

I'm not disagree with you about lebron having more talent. Just saying shaq in his prime was the most dominate player in the league. People wonder who is better between kobe and lebron. You never had to wonder if shaq was the most dominating center in the league in his prime. And saying big is big is really kind of a lame response as if size automatically makes a player good. Dude please don't try and compare Ilgauskas with shaq. Shaq is old as hell, now and on the downside of his career, but Ilgauskas was never in his league and never will be.

Hopefully...the 09-10 Season will be the Cavaliers.

    Otherwise...we may lose LeBron.
