I got this idea a few years ago as a result of eating some mushrooms, so here it goes:

What do you think of the idea that God is not seperate from us, but the universe itself is God? That is to say that the whole friggin' thing, from the molecules that make up an ant's tiny little leg to the neurons firing off in your brain to some far-off nebula are all parts of a holy system.

So God is not a seperate thing looking down on us, but we are a part of it in a literal sense.

What do you think of that?

Also, does this idea already have a name?

Your theory sounds a bit pantheistic.

    Yes. It's called Buddhism.

oh, ok. That's awesome that I invented Buddhism without knowing it. I also invented Socialism when I was in 3rd grade.

I have a knack for inventing things that already exist but that I don't realize exist.

Except the Buddhists don't call it "God", they call it "Tao".

The funny thing is that if Christians actually read their bible instead of listening to manipulated interpretations called sermons they'd realize that the bible says that very thing in many places.

John 1:3 says, "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made"

Sure there is a possibility that God is just the universe overall, but in that case there are many things that are too big for us to understand as beings on this earth. But we will eventually.

    Nice Topic

Maybe its that God, the Holy Spirit, is in each of us.

But also outside of us. (The Father)

    And beside us. (The Son)
