The 5 regions of the USA:

    NORTHEAST

    SOUTHEAST

    MIDWEST

    WEST

    SOUTHWEST

Which region is your favorite? Since I'm in Washington State...I'm biased and I'm going to say the West. I love forests and mountains. My second favorite would have to be the Southwest, and my least favorite would be the Midwest. Sorry to all you Midwesterners out there...but miles and miles of open plains and fields just don't tickle my fancy very well.

    ohh, bias time!
    Northeast for me!
Next comes West, then Middle West.
At the tail end are Southwest and then Southeast.
    Oh yeah?

My favorite is the West. I'm opening a ski lodge in Colorado some day.

My least favorite is the Midwest. They've got way too many tornadoes out there.

For the record, I live in the South East.

for some reason that midwest picture is making me think of french friend 'taters, mm-hmm

    and yee-haw!

that said, I like the southeast [/bias] however just because Ohio is in the midwest doesn't mean it's got MILES of country to it.

Although I live in the West, I love all the regions. The Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, West, and Midwest all have fine scenery for me.

Also, this book came to my mind when I saw this topic.

Well, to be fair...Ohio is usually the last state that comes to my mind when I think of the Midwest. It seems more like a Northeast state to me. When I think of the Midwest, the states that instantly come to mind are Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and.......

I think all regions have their own beauty with the South East probably being my favorite.

The PNW is a region all to itself. The 'West' shouldn't be that large.

That picture is not what the part of the midwest I live in is like. I've never seen windmills in wheatfields before.
I see alot of rolling hills, farms, people partying, gravel roads, snow, cows and stuff like that. It seems like the term mid-west isn't right at all. Most people think "tornado alley" and open fields and junk, but that's not what it's like in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

I haven't actually done much traveling, but I'd say the west is my favorite....the Northeast would probably come in second.

I'd really like to travel out west. But I love the southeast, Especially Arkansas, Louisiana, and Florida. I love Virginia also....especially around Charlottesville.
