I started collecting comics during the time of Secret Wars and the new titles Web of Spiderman and X-Factor. I quit during the emergance of Image comics and the death of superman. I recently picked up the hobby and am collected graphic novels and manga. I enjoy the stories so collecting comics for their value isn't my concern now.

Here is the list of graphic novels and manga I'm currently reading and collecting.

    1. Blade of the Immortal
    2. 100 Bullets
    3. Samurai Executioner

    Others I'm thinking about.

    1. Fables
    2. Transmetropolitan
    3. Beserk
    4. Goon

I loved the COD books about that one cop. Chuck Dixon is a great writer, and the art was awesome.

I can't wait for the final Gah-Lak-Tus miniseries that's coming out this year. I'm a huge Silver Surfer fan, so to finally see Ultimate Silver Surfer (even though I don't really like the Ultimate Universe) will be awesome.

The story arc on the cop pissed me off regarding his cheating wife. Not that the comic was bad, it just provoked a lot of hateful feelings. A comic hasn't envoked so much emotion in me since the 9/11 Captain America story arc.

And yeah, make sure you pick up Ultimate Extinction #1 that's in comic shops right now. If you're looking for Ultimate Silver Surfer... you might just catch a glimpse of him

Yeah, Ultimate Extinction is what I was talking about; just didn't want to get too specific in case no-one knew what I was talking about. :D

I'm planning on picking it up with my other monthlies when I go up to the city to look for an apartment. It sucks living in a town where the only comic book store shut its doors in 2001. :(

GI Joe and Transformers are a couple of things I just couldn't get into, cartoon wise and comic book wise. >

Mainly I collect manga but on occassion I'll get a comic/graphic novel. I'm very picky as to what comics I'll read (Ninja Turtles, Green Arrow, Spider-Man, Batman, Iron Man..). I like manga more though I have about 45+-ish at the moment. MANGA RULES!

Hopefully I'll come across a comic I've dyin to see: Ninja Turtles & Savage Dragon!

I collected for a while and was a HUUUUUUUUUUGE Spiderman Fan. From the time period of the introduction of Carnage through about Issue 400 of Amazing Spiderman, I bought any comic I could find with Spiderman in it. I stopped around issue 400 (Death of Aunt May) because the storylines began to just suck; you had to buy a dozen comics each month to finish a storyline; the prices of the comics started getting too high. When I did collect I never really picked up any REALLY valuable comics, but I do have quite a few early Spiderman books. I would go and buy the poorer condition copies of the expensive books because I liked the stories and could care less about the value. My favorite character was The Green Goblin and I can proudly say that I own the first appearance of both Norman and Harry Osborne as TGG. I should dig into my closet and look through my stashes of comic books. I know that somewhere in the boxes upon boxes of books I have a slew of comic books and Nintendo Powers. :)

I've been collecting since around 96. I have a load of random issues of random books (superman, fantastic four, spawn, wolverine, iron man, etc.), but the main books that i "collect" and try to get every issue of are:

    Batman
    Robin
    Nightwing
    Uncanny X-Men
    X-Men
    Amazing Spider-Man
    Captain America
    Green Lantern

and i have full runs of several titles, such as Cable, Batman Chronicles, Black Panther, and various others.

hahahaha.. well, i've been collecting for years.
i'm fortunate to have an independently owned comic book store down the street from my house.

also, i buy comics in bulk when i have the funds. (i.e- 1000-2000.) i get them from another store i know of.

I've been reading comics since 1983 (I was twelve), but the only part of my collection that managed to stay with me is my run of Uncanny X-Men (180 - 250). Everything else I have had to slowly replace.

The older titles that I'm re-collecting right now are Justice (New Universe), Micronauts, and Rom.

The current comics that I'm collecting right now are Exiles, Uncanny X-men, X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, and the Incredible Hulk.

Needless to say, I'm a huge Marvel fan, but I do dabble in DC from time to time.

I never was a big comic book fan and I'm still not, but I did get into the Archie Sonic series. I just happened to stumble upon an issue (#7) when I was in WaldenBooks once and got hooked. I have every single issue up to #70 (minus #69 for some reason) including all 48-page specials up to that point and every character mini-series (minus one of the Princess Sally issues), as well as the Knuckles series up to #23 (minus #17 & #19) I also have the NiGHTS Into Dreams series.

Without Robotnik in the story anymore I got bored with it and stopped getting them. Only to find out a few years later that he returned like five issues after I stopped. :x Most of them are in mint condition except for a few of the first ones I got, but the NiGHTS series isn't in very good condition. Right now all of them are packed away neatly in plastic protectors.

All my other comics are rather random. I have about eight from the Pokémon manga and maybe about 10-15 Transformers comics I got at a flea market, but I don't think I ever read any of them (the Transformers ones I mean). There was also another Transformers comic I got where Prime was killed, but I never got any others from that particular series.

There are a few online that I've read too. The Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask mangas completely, most of Chobits, and Kingdom Hearts up to the point of the Aladdin story. I was also reading Link's Awakening too, but it wasn't translated after a certain point.

Hey, Boba Fett, it's good to finally meet the only other person on Earth who collects Micronauts. :D

You got the X-Men/Micronauts crossover? It's pretty good.

Where'd you read Kingdom Hearts? I started it, but never continued it. I stopped before the adventure started. lol

Oh, and where did you manage to read the Legends of Zelda manga? I used to read them off of this really good site years ago, but it went down.
