    		 Introducing US-style yellow school buses across Britain would create up to 13,000 new jobs, according to new research by a group headed by former Home Secretary David Blunkett.

    Mr Blunkett said there was now a compelling case for introducing the buses nationwide, a move he believes would also make a major contribution to reducing the UK's carbon emissions.

    The research has been conducted by Aberdeen University's Centre for Transport Research on behalf of the Yellow School Bus Commission, which was set up two years ago by the bus company FirstGroup.

    		 who cares what colour school buses are, the main thing is kids get to and from school safely- not with Otto driving.

    Most private schools here pay local bus companies to drive students home. I went to a shitty private school and we had buses- we had to pay for them of course. My usual bus driver was thankfully deaf so he didn't have to hear us screaming.
