In 1995, Namco released a video game collection of classic arcade games. The name of series, the Namco Museum. Starting with Volume 1, which was released that year. The following games are included on Volume 1:

    Pac-Man
    Pole Position
    Galaga
    Bosconian
    Rally X
    New Rally X
    Toy Pop

A year later, Volume 2 was released. That one included the following games:

    Super Pac-Man
    Gaplus
    Mappy
    Xevious
    Grobda
    Dragon Buster

Then came Volume 3 which included the following games:

    Pole Position 2
    Ms. Pac-Man
    Dig Dug
    Galaxian
    The Tower of Druaga
    Phozon

Then there's Volume 4 (which I have yet to get):

    Pac-Land
    Assault
    Genpeitoumaden
    Ordyne
    The return of Ishtar

And finally Volume 5 (another one I don't have):

    Metro-Cross
    Baraduke
    Dragon Spirit
    Pac-Mania
    The Legend of the Valkyrie

I already have Volumes 1-3, and they're pretty fun. Has anyone played the original Namco Museum Series for the PSone?

I've played the first three. Awesome collections, man! And Dragon Spirit... I wanted to play it back in the day, but then Dad was like "You already have Dragon Spirit! On Nintendo!" Played it years later, and was surprised to learn that it was a prequel to the NES game... wow.

These are great, but I've only seen Volumes 1 and 3, both of which I have. All the later Namco Museum games suck for taking out the best part - the fucking museum.

Ever since I can remember, Namco Museum's been my favorite game series for the Playstation, and the slightest thought of it makes me want to play it again and travel through the cool and mystique polygonal museum. Dammit!

Ah yes, with the little Pac-Man icon at the bottom right of the screen, getting to see cameos, artwork, music, sprites, etc. all around... wait, 4 and 5 didn't have a museum? That's bullshit. I would've loved to see Dragon Spirit artwork and listening to the music whenever I wanted to.

I agree with you about the later Namco Museum games. The original Namco Museum was much better. They had a museum in that one. I always like looking at the merchandise they had years ago in Japan.

I have the Namco Museum Anniversary collection that has Pole Position, Galaxian, Galaga, Digg Dugg, etc. I love these kinds of collections, as it feels like I'm right back at the old arcades again. It's so cool to be able to play all these classics at home. Remember back in the day how much I wanted to play these kinds of games from the arcade at home. The NES versions were never the same.
