Should Brett Favre play for the Green Bay Packers again?

No. As much as I like Farve it's ridiculous that he literally holds the team hostage year after year. He's not helping the team at all.

    He's better off retired.

He doesn't need to do this to himself. After the teary-eyed retirement press conference he had, the backlash he'd get for coming back would suck so much.

Plus it's no good for Aaron Rodgers either. It's bad enough that they drafted not one, but TWO quarterbacks this year. It's bad enough that his first start is the first Monday Night Football game of the year where they retire Brett's number. If the Packers let him come back, that'll tell him that the Packers have no faith in him whatsoever and Aaron Rodgers is destined to fail like everyone apparently wants him to.

If Favre comes back, it should be for another team, maybe the Falcons or the Dolphins.

I'm a Falcons fan and I don't even wish that Favre torture himself by going to my team. They are gonna be in turmoil for at least another 3 to 5 years so if he goes to Atlanta he's just wasting his time.

Well the Falcons have signed a giant contract with Matt Ryan, their top draft pick. He's gonna be a rookie who is already the third-highest paid player in the league. Having Favre there to help give him pointers and whatnot would be valuable. He certainly shouldn't take any advice from Harrington.

Why is his name pronounced differently than it's spelled?

It's a french name, it's difficult for english-speaking people to do it properly, so i assume it just evolved into "Farv" over time.

I just heard that Favre had just asked for his release. It's looking more and more like he wants to play again.

yep and the scary thing is if he is released what he could do cause imagine if he went to the vikings or something cause him, ap, and that defense would flat out dominate

Somebody should just tell Brett that it's just not worth risking his body over.

It's official. Favre just sent his request for reinstatement. This situation is nuts.

The coach says now it's an open QB competition between all of the QBs. Who's he kidding? Favre could throw like 20 INTs at camp and they'll still give him the starting position. I feel sorry for Aaron Rogers. The man was ready to prove himself yet it looks like he's the bad guy in all of this.

Holy sh!t the Packers are so f'ing stupid. They have a Hall of Fame qb who just had a great season and wants to come back and be the starter and they try to push him away. Now all the sudden after annoiting Rodgers the starter, Favre is back and has a chance? Stupid, this whole thing could've been avoided had they just welcomed Favre back with open arms like they should've.

If the Packers don't do so good this season, who can we blame?

im tired of all of these whiny fucking football players who get pissed off because they're not starting after they already made the decision to retire.. teams have to move on.. im sorry but it doesn't work that way.. Rodgers busted his ass to get to where he is and now they're trying to put him on the back burner.. don't get me wrong, i think Favre is one of the greatest of all time, but HE made the decision to retire.. noone else made that decision for him.. i wouldn't have reinstated him.. now we're gonna watch Favre for one more season but they will not be back to the NFC Championship.. he should've stayed retired, but instaed we get to see his last year with a losing record.. Green bay will go 7-9.. all this hype for a monumental dissappointment!!!!!!
