Spongebob was okay at first but little did I know that it would be one of the precursors to the decline of good cartoon civilization.

I agree with you, I think that when Spongebob was established as popular, they really started to unload the crap. Back in the 90's I was a fan of most programmes, especially "Are you afraid of the dark." but I really didn't like "Animorphs" that much. xxx

I never liked Rocket Power either. Or The Wild Thornberries. I actually thought As Told By Ginger was actually kind of a cute show, but I can see why people wouldn't like it.

When I was a kid, I HATED that show Fifteen. I don't even remember why anymore. Probably because it was a big damn soap opera. Haha.

CatDog was just stupid. Man that's when Nick was just going downhill with those stupid cartoons along with Angry Beavers, Allen Strange, The Phil Slivers show that 's when Nick lost many of their viewers during that time 97-00

I doubt they lost many of their viewers like you're claiming. You were probably getting too old to enjoy what they were putting out.

That aside, I liked the Angry Beavers. I didn't like Catdog. I liked Allen Strange. Never heard of the Phil Slivers/Silvers (sp?) show.

Meh, I liked The Wild Thornberries, at least at first. I think they made too many episodes and over-extended the concept, though. Rocket Power was okay, but I never went out of my way to watch it. CatDog was definitely not my cup of tea, either.

Even though I could either take or leave The Wild Thornberries, I found the concept for the series pretty cool. Like a female version of Dr. Dolittle. IMO, when it came to plots and story lines, I always felt that KC's shows put on Nick were the most interesting of them.

I did watch CatDog for a while when it first came on but now that I think of it, it wasn't that good. Angry Beavers was funnier.

That wasn't "Nick's version". That version was shown on Nickelodeon in reruns. It used to air on Saturday mornings on ABC in about 1991 or either it was 1992, can't recall. I used to watch it all the time. I have no idea when Nickelodeon aired the reruns of it.

Didn't like Angry Beavers that much. But the worst show was prolly Rocket Power, I mean it's so corny. With the fat Hawaiian guy saying the Ancient Hawaiian's this and that.

i agree, however, it would seem that Rocket power was quite popular, as i used to get seriously annoyed at how well it did against shows during watch your own week. (not against shows like sabrina, sister sister, saved by the bell of course)

this can only mean one of things
    1. that it was popular, for some ridiculous reason
    2. that Rocket power fans are by nature faster hot line dialers
3.that Nickeoldeon fixed watch your own week

Disclaimer: 3 is not an option : ) xox
