I kind of like the fact that there was more to work with where roboticizing was concerned. Sonic couldn't just hit those that were robotocized to get them back to normal, like in the games. They actually had to use their intelligence to figure out a way to reverse the process based on the limited information they had, hence their always having to break into Robotnik's lair to get information. I liked the fact that it wasn't just Sonic's story, and that it involved him, and other refugees, though a small group, who managed to escape Robotnik, and how Robotnik's takeover affected them as well.
This is something you just can 't get in the games because most games don't get into that much depth or background with the characters. That's usually why, for some franchises, I actually do prefer the other mediums as opposed to the original source. Like, as most know, I'm a fan of The Legends of Zelda, but to be honest, I like the manga series of most of these games more than the games themselves. More background on the characters and more story.
The main thing I hate about the SATAM version of Sonic, is the fact that it did end on a cliffhanger. I was really looking forward to another season, especially since there was the strong possibility of Knuckles joining the cast. I was a big Knuckles fan. I was also hoping for more dealing with Tails' character too for the upcoming season. Sucks the ratings were low since it was put up against Power Rangers at the time, back then.
