One of my first Super Nintendo games, and one of my favorites! One time, I got 100% on almost every level in the game. Later, I learned that this game used a Super FX 2 Chip. The Super Mario Advance version didn't do any justice to the original. I haven't played Yoshi's Island DS yet, but I heard it's alright. I gotta play my old copy again someday.
I'm also a fan of this game. I played it all the time when I was younger and never got tired of it. The gameplay, graphics, and music are superb! In addition, the bosses are very fun and original. I've played through and beaten this game many, many times. But it still holds a special place in my heart as one of the greatest SNES titles of all time!

The soundtrack was awesome... I used to leave it on as background music for parties ( I am not kidding) especially the song that plays during the opening level. I found the GBA version to be more difficult than the original SNES, the jumping seemed less precise.
BTW the "sequel" on the DS is quite the game- seems like the developers knew the fanbase well. check it out!!!

At first I was mad this game had you play as yoshi, not mario. That is until I played it. Loved every minute of it. I remember the commercial with the guy eating all that food and blowing up afterwards. gross, but cool.

That commercial was disgusting. I was eating my cereal and when I saw that commercial, I puked. I couldn't even eat for the rest of the day without thinking about that commercial.
