This game is awesome! I loved the graphics used in the game and I didn't even mind Baby Mario's crying. Who else played this game?

Probably the greatest soundtrack for any SNES game, next to EarthBound. I've always loved it and am glad there are so many remixes in Brawl.
    Game... ovahhhhhhhhh!!!

One of my first Super Nintendo games, and one of my favorites! One time, I got 100% on almost every level in the game. Later, I learned that this game used a Super FX 2 Chip. The Super Mario Advance version didn't do any justice to the original. I haven't played Yoshi's Island DS yet, but I heard it's alright. I gotta play my old copy again someday.

The title screen music really makes me think, for some reason it just blanks my mind and makes life itself seem so simple.

It's hard to explain, not to sound emotional, but... it just really gets to me.
    Game... ovahhhhhhhhh!!!

I'm also a fan of this game. I played it all the time when I was younger and never got tired of it. The gameplay, graphics, and music are superb! In addition, the bosses are very fun and original. I've played through and beaten this game many, many times. But it still holds a special place in my heart as one of the greatest SNES titles of all time!

I got 100% in this game. It took me 6 months to play the game.

Anyone played Yoshi's Story? Way too short in my opinion. Nothing like Yoshi's Island. And that's just my opinion.

I agree. That game was extremely short. "Yoshi's Island" was/is far superior.

The soundtrack was awesome... I used to leave it on as background music for parties ( I am not kidding) especially the song that plays during the opening level. I found the GBA version to be more difficult than the original SNES, the jumping seemed less precise.

BTW the "sequel" on the DS is quite the game- seems like the developers knew the fanbase well. check it out!!!

At first I was mad this game had you play as yoshi, not mario. That is until I played it. Loved every minute of it. I remember the commercial with the guy eating all that food and blowing up afterwards. gross, but cool.

    Yes, that game is awesome.
I love the drug stage, where you eat the cloud guys, and it makes you stumble around like a smelly crackhead.

That commercial was disgusting. I was eating my cereal and when I saw that commercial, I puked. I couldn't even eat for the rest of the day without thinking about that commercial.

By the way, wasn't this the first game with Baby Bowser?

Nope, my siblings would never do that to me. They cherish the game as much as I do.

well it could be the battery inside the game (the game is over 13 years years old). I had the same problem with my NES and SNES games.

Yoshi's Island was an amazing game. I own it on my Super NES, and it's a very cute-looking game, which is beautiful on an artistic level.
