It does have online, but you can only do it with WLan(wireless lan)

Play Mario on the go! And there is that emulator that Sony made and was hacked so you can take any PS1 image and convert to play on PSP.

Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow is another good one and if you like sports games you may want to look in to MLB 08 The Show which is awesome.
