This was another one of my favorites, it spawned a couple of other similar games like deja vu and uninvited.

Shadowgate is one of my favorite NES games of all time! Not as good as Deja Vu, but way better than Uninvited. It's so creepy, it's a great game to play at night while others are watching and take turns!
    Game... ovahhhhhhhhh!!!

Yes, they did. When me and my friends took turns in that, we basically took turns jumping in the water.

LOL! Did you set yourself on fire in the original? I did! Yay! I loved the Nes one, but only saw the other one in the store.

"Suicide won't help in your quest!" XD I love this game! Haven't played it in months, though. Quite honestly, I'm not very good at it, but I have fun anyway. It's got its scary moments, I remember nearly having a heart attack when I was in the room in the castle with the coffins and I opened one up, and that banshee thing pops out suddenly...*shivers* The Game Over screen kinda gives me the creeps too, especially that music.

They sure did. Here's the box for it:

Shadowgate is one great game. I never did try the 64 one, just the NES one, which I own. I also have Shadowgate classic on the GameBoy.

I totally agree, this was an awesome game. In fact, I just found it on FireNES and I'm going to see how much I remember. So far I knew to open the skull on the front door to get a key... I know it's not much, but it's been a couple decades since I've even seen it!

Wish me luck! Or at least point me to a walk-thru!
