    So, has your computer been operating oddly, or has it froze up on occassion?

    Unplug your cable from the modem box for about a minute, and plug it back in.

    yes, too often these days I've seen this little PSA float around TV

    nice advice all the same. it can even apply to just about all your electronics.

    Ok, so the problem I'm having is still happening. This time I unplugged the router for a minute, and now everything is fine.

    No Scott, what we're saying is that if your computer or modem (or any other electronic device) is acting strange, the first thing to do is power down, unplug it for about 30 seconds or so, then power it on.
