My first console was a Japanese Megadrive with a copy of Sonic the Hedgehog, and Mickey Mouse - Castle of Illusion!

Great stuff, and definately a step up from the Spectrum's we used to have and even our beloved Atari STE!

My first console was the Colecovision that a friend gave to us probably because he had a NES. I played with it until it got "broken" so, my mother threw it away with all the games, instructions booklet and the cardtriges holder. I'm still mad at her for doing this.

So, I had to buy another one, at a collectors show, for $50.00 CAD. Fortunatly, this one work well and it came full with the turbo controller, the expansion module for Atari games and almost 20 cardtridges. I got it plugged on my old television with my Betamax VCR.

Sweet!!! Sounds like a nice Setup.

    Mine was either the TI-99

or the good old 2600. I can't really remember which I had first, but I loved both.

I must say though, Nothing in my life compares to the excitement of seeing my Nintendo under the Christmas tree the year it came out!

Seriously... I've been skydiving, and the rush I got from that christmas blows every jump away.
    Single again...

I own them both but, the 2600 doesn't work. Anyway, I bought it in a garage sale for $2. It was only for the look.

Atari 2600, then NES (with robot and light gun), then Genesis, Sega CD, CD-I System, Playstation, and Playstation 2.

Along with gameboy (1st model) and gameboy advance

ok a little too much info, but i just felt like writing ;)

atari 2600 was tons of fun, my favorite game was Adventure, where u had to avoid a dragon and collect items. There was jawbreaker which was cool, a pac-man like game where u ate chocolate instead of powerballs, then between stages a brush would come and brush your teeth. Wizards of War was cool tool, ok i cant keep going on :)

Turbo Graphics 16. Yes. Turbo Graphics 16.

For a child of the 80's that wasnt aloud to have a system until I could pay for my own, it was one sweet, short run.

It is scary what the new systems have like the new X-Box 360 has a super mega fast pc and the PS3 has a cell technology that is fancier than others and the Nintendo Revolution have a controller like a remote.

The first console I ever played on was the Atari 2600. It was technically my sibling's and they wouldn't let me play on it until I was around four years old, after I whined and cried enough that they gave in. The first game I ever played was Defender, and it was while playing it I used the word "bastard" for the first time.

The first console I actually owned, though, was an NES. It came with Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt, along with the Zapper.
