I think it means the 1960's cartoon, Mighty Hercules, where he uses a ring to summon his powers/more power, and one of his friends is a young saytur.

My all time favorite would have to be South Park, just a great show, I like how they make fun of pretty much everything. There's lots of other cartoons I like too though:
The Simpsons
Beavis and Butthead
The Super Mario cartoons
Family Guy
the old Ninja Turtle Cartoons
Transformers
Thundercats
Voltron
Garfield
Bobby's World
X-Men

Also a lot of old school Nick stuff, Doug would probably top the list for that. And I know I'm missing a ton of other cartoons I really liked, mostly older ones. Cartoons today suck for the most part with a few notable exceptions like South Park, Family Guy and the Simpsons.

South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut (Well, Since I'm 17 now, I'm old enough to watch it, and I'm OK with that!)
Homestar Runner and the Strong Bad Emails
Dinosaur Planet, a 4 part Discovery Channel TV show featuring computer animated dinos.
When Dinosaurs Roamed America (the Discovery Channel TV movie which featured Computer animated dinos)
Walt Disney's Fantasia
Fantasia 2000
the Computer Animated Dinosaurs of the Jurassic Park films
and those computer animated dinos from BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs

So, that's my 15 favorite animated cartoons, and they're both traditional and digital, y'know.

Well it was once the Simpsons but now the trophy goes to South Park as #1 it can actually still make me laugh. It is amazing how up to date their jokes are each episode. (I believe they take only a week to make their episodes and Simpsons take like a year I think so their jokes already seem kinda old in the newer ones. :/ BUT HEY this is Retro Junk we love the oldies. ;))

Lemme' list 'em in a decent order:

Classic(20's-60's):
Looney Tunes
Tex Avery's various MGM works
Fleischer studios(Popeye, Superman, Betty Boop, etc)
The Rocky & Bullwinkle Show
The Flintstones
The Jestons
Top Cat
Jonny Quest

Childhood Favs(syndicated babies and 80's shit):
Super Friends(the last season or two in particular tend to hold up for me best)
The Archie Show
Josie & The Pussycats
Transformers
Thundercats
Gummi Bears
DuckTales
The Real Ghostbusters

The Animation Revelation(90's, earlier in particular):
Batman: The Animated Series
Superman: The Animated Series
Batman Beyond
Tiny Toon Adventures
Animaniacs
Pinky & the Brain
Freakazoid!
The Ren & Stimpy Show(pre-Games)
Rocko's Modern Life
Dexter's Laboratory(pre-revival)
Johnny Bravo
The Powerpuff Girls(pre-movie)
Ed, Edd, n' Eddy
Gargoyles(not that Goliath Chronicles shit, though)
Darkwing Duck
The Simpsons(pre-Scully)
Futurama
Beavis & Butthead
Daria
King of the Hill
Family Guy(pre-revival)

Modern(the ones that don't suck):
Justice League
X-Men: Evolution
The Spectacular Spider-Man
Static Shock(well, sort of, when they ditch the guest stars and "very speical episodes". I give it the benefit of the doubt for being one of the last Saturday morning cartoons I got up to watch pre-SSM, but I still understand that it's by no rights perfect)
American Dragon: Jake Long(moreso season 2, when they got the formula right)
W.I.T.C.H.
The Weekenders
Sheep in the Big City
Samurai Jack
Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends(s1-4)
Invader ZIM
Home Movies
The Brak Show
The Boondocks
American Dad!

Anime(no weaboo here, though):
Neon Genesis Evangalion
Yu Yu Hakusho
Death Note
Cowboy Bebop
Higurashi no Naku Koro/Ki ni
Kino's Journey
Ouran High School Host Club(yaoi aside...)

As you can see, I am a big fan of animation. I don't care where it's from, who it's made by, or who it's made for, if I like it, I like it. End of story.

EDIT: Forgot a couple, lost a couple.

Shows like the Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park are either overrated or have lost their appeal to me.
