Oh yeah, there was another one I forgot to mention, but I don't recall what the name of the cartoon was. It was some force of dinosaurs who fought evil. There was a t-rex, a teradactil, and some other ones that I can't remember right now.

I think the show you're referencing is DinoSaucers, about alien dinosaurs that fought evil.

    Family Dog

    Capitol Critters

    Marsupilami

Eek! The Cat, though I think it got at least 2 seasons in, so it did better than others.

Also, Toon Disney channel is playing a few of these "short lived cartoons" previously mentioned in the thread, including The Tick and Shnookums and Meat: FCS.

Exo-Squad, it would of been neat if they put this show on prime time instead of Saturday Mornings. That show actually have people dying and more complex characters than anything from my childhood (70s/80s child if you were wondering).

Mighty Max, the only toy based toon that I actually liked.

Ulysses 31, one of the few good 80s cartoons.

Ulysses 31 was great but it wasn't "short lived" exactly, they just reached the end of the story. It was 26 episodes long like many anime today.

The Maxx - They were supposed to have a second season, but it got canned by stupid MTV.

Pirates Of Dark Water - They could try to bring back the series now, since most of the CN shows suck.

Bucky O Hare - I miss this show.

The New Adventures Of Mighty Mouse - Stupid CBS just had to yank the show.

Little Wizards - They should never had played this the same time as another popular show. It was a good show that deserved more seasons.

The Real Ghostbusters - I have to agree on Howdy with this one. Only the early (but few) seasons had a dark tone and great storylines. This got bogged down because of turning it into Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters. It was too kiddy and weak. The series could've gone on longer had they not ruined it.
Video may have killed the radio star, but reality crapfests killed the video.

    Okay here we go.

Challenge of the Gobots (Lasted only 3.5/4 months before it was axed.)

The Mighty Orbots (I didn't quite understand this one when I was a kid and I don't think I ever will understand it but it lasted about the same amount of time as the Gobots.)

Pole Postition (Lasted a full year before CBS made the decision to cancel it.)

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors (One of my all time favourites to never get another season of it. It lasted about 2.5 months.)

M.A.S.K. Mobile Armor Strike Kommand (Lasted almost a full year before it was axed. Another one of my favourites to never get another season it.)

C.O.P.S. (lasted a full year before it was axed.)

InHumanoids (Another one that lasted about 8 months before Hasbro decided that it wasn't worth airing anymore.)

Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light (Lasted about the same amount of time as the Gobots)

Tales from the Crypt Keeper (Another Ghoullie kind of cartoon that was cancelled before its time.)

I have a lot of other shows on my list but these are the ones that I really really enjoyed watching and could watch without any objections from my mother.

    The ones I miss:

Drak Pack: Had only about 1 1/2 seasons before being canceled. More villians besides Dr. Dred and O.G.R.E. could have been introduced. That could have saved the show.

Mighty Orbots: We have the Tonka toy company to blame for this one getting only one season. I wonder who suggested suing for copying The Gobots (which there is no way Mighty Orbots could have been a copy of the Gobots).

Pirates of Dark Water: I agree on this one. I think the quest for the Treasures of Rule was still going on when this was taken off.

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors: At least an ending was planned for this one.

From the Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors entry at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayce_and_the_Wheeled_Warriors

"Due to less than successful toy sales, Jayce's 65 episode run was not followed up, and it ended unresolved. However, according to series producer J. Michael Straczynski, a movie had also been commissioned along with the series, following in the footsteps of other toy based animated series such as Transformers and GI Joe; if the series had proven successful in toy sales, production would have began. Straczynski wrote the script, but due to the failure of the toyline, preparation for the movie was shelved.

Had the movie been filmed, it would have provided a sense of closure on Jayce, with his Lightning League meeting with the originals and being trained on the home world of the Guardians, he would be reunited with his father Audric, but according to Straczynski, Audric would have been killed by Saw Boss as the Monster Minds began a final assault on the galaxy, and in a final battle, Jayce would unite the root and kill Saw Boss, ending the Monster Mind threat forever."

Very few people remember this show in the U.S. because it only aired 3 times in early 1992 on CBS and then it was taken off the air and it was never aired in the U.S. ever again, although it did air on europes version of Cartoon Network and in Germany German Dubbed of coarse but anyway the cartoon is none other than Fish Police!

I feel that most of the toons on this list are worthy of being remembered. I did think that M.A.S.K. was on for more than one season. I would also have liked to have seen more Transformers. It would have been nice for them to carry on the series like they did in Japan. I could never get into any of the new episodes like Armada or Energon. I did like beast wars though.

It's a very new cartoon, but I really think that Clone High was cut off way too early.

2 Stupid Dogs was pretty much the premise for modern cartoons in the mid-'90s, but I don't think it had very many episodes anyway. :/

Ronin Warriors when it was released in the USA had a shorter run than I'd like.
