Do you guys remember ROB (Robot Operating Buddy) that came with the original NES? He only was included during the first year of US production and was replaced by the now famous Zapper. ROB included several gyros that he manipulated. There were only two games that were ROB compatible. One was Gyromite and the other was Stack-it. ROB didn't seem to ever take hold in the uS marketplace (Japan saw the same reaction to ROB but decided to market him to the US anyway!) ROB is a forgotten piece of video game history, even though he kinda sucked, and should have a hallowed place in all of our hearts

    ALL HAIL R.O.B. !!!

    Yay for R.O.B.*

*Even though I never owned one.

I still have my R.O.B in storage. I have all the discs and things needed to use him but I don't have the Gyromite game anaymore. He was fun to play with for like five minutes and then it was like, ok this is gay. The more I think about it he was really useless and boring.
I don't know about you, Miss Kitty, but I feel so much... yummier

I think that could be said for most of the NES accesories. The only one I can think of that was any good was the light gun.

I have great love and respect for R.O.B. He was the Trojan Horse that ushered in the Nintendo Entertainment System and revived video games.

I used to have a ROB

But he didn't come with the games, so he was about as useful as a 40-pound paperweight

i believe there was three accessories woth it at the time:

    1 light gun

    2 arcade controller

    and my personal fave:

    3 the game glove

that thing was awesome! even though ur hand sweated like niagra falls, it was still cool to play with when u were a kid.

    Thats odd
Since the NES System i got has both the Zapper and R.o.b :)

I remeber R.O.B put up the good fight but the Seven year old me had him broken in like a day or so.

then i got a replacment rob like Five years later at a yard sale since i still had the games and Accesserys.
