Cant help you on the intro, but if I remember correctly, Fantastic Max had the toys that were super miniature in size, right?

Like an entire playset would fit in the palm of your hand or something...??? Same series??

I was wrong, the toys I'm thinking of weren't associated with Fantatsic Max.

They're something else whos name now escapes me...

But having GOOGLED Fantastic Max, I can vaguely remember the show you were talking about.

Ah..here's what I thought you were talking about. Different "max"... :P

"Mighty max" was the boys' version of "polly pocket", and it had it's own cartoon as well (something of a "quantum leap" kind of deal, hopping through portals via his magic hat).

"Fantastic max" had the mohawk baby. It aired early in the mornings, when absolutely nothing else was on, save for infomercials. The show was so-so, but the theme music was very catchy.
