ADULT Times when Nintendo actually DIDN'T do any censorship

Ever since the SNES port of Mortal Kombat came in, there seems to be quite the misconception that "Nintendo" and "Censorship" are pretty much synonyms. Is that always so? Does Nintendo always censor everything? Don't be so sure, in this topic you guys try to recall all the incidences that Nintendo actually didn't censor up something in a Video game. Here are my examples

    1. Any Mortal Kombat game after the first, ever since the SNES port of Mortal Kombat II came in MK games were no longer censored.

    2. In the N64 version of Pokemon Puzzle League, NOA actually got Lorelai to be flirty to Ash. "Cutie" was her petname for him. (And the actual quote from her "I'm Gonna Take you Down" is too easy to take out of context. Though to be fair her somewhat sultry tone in that line didn't help.) NOA also tried to remove signs of her actually wearing panties as well. Amazing on how not only NOA didn't censor this but actually ADDED it in themselves.

    3. I know its a more recent game but the Gamecube version of BMX XXX had no censorship while the PS2 version used little black bars. Granted the game was an absolute flop and downright hated by the gaming populous. But still it is intresting on how Nintendo actually didn't censor something here that Sony would.

Any of you folks got any more examples?

I liked both SNES and Sega Genesis versions, though I slightly preferred the Sega Genesis version due to the more easily accessable cheats. Though the Arcade version was the best of course but thats a different story.

Yeah the 1st MK game on the SNES was unfortunately censored, but fortunately that was the last MK game to get overly censored.

Anyways to get back on topic I'll add another instance.

    1. Various NES games not getting their crosses removed. Whether they be 1st party titles like Adventure of Link to 3rd party ones like the Castlevania series.

i used to play around with game genie coding, and my buddies and i came up with alot of "hacks" for the snes version. colouring the "sweat" to red and playing as goro and so forth. snes rendition of the game had better graphics. thats what really made it in the end.

If you want to get into recent times, Eternal Darkness on the GameCube has a woman in it with a see-through top, complete with nipples. And its not a port, its a first party title.

If there was any justice the "kiddy" image would have died for good as soon as MK2 came out for SNES.

"Conker's Bad Fur Day" on the N64 is a game I never thought
would come out this uncensored for a Nintendo Console

Even the recently released X-BOX version got heavily censored..

    ABACABB

I still remember it. It's like the COntra code you never forget it (although I never played Contra until later I know what people mean). After I learned that code I never played the game without it.

There are 2 NES games that come to mind for me but I don't know if they really count as censored.

One was Bionic Commando. If I remember correctly, you knew you defeated the last boss when you got to see the close up of you shooting the guy in the face.

The other was Top Secret Episode: Golgo 13. In that game there a number of cut scenes where you would get with a female companion in a hotel room.

I know it's not Nintendo, but I heard that when Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released in Germany, the ability to stomp on people while they're on the ground was edited out for some reason. I'm glad I live in America. :)

    Ditto, i completely agree

Thing with nintendo is they do what i call " the light show"

they come out with a small handful of "questionable" material but at the same time they Market heavly on all the cute stuff. its a nice ploy to get parents to say "oh how nice" and let their kids have their systems then the kids get their hands on the few "questionable" games and just hide them from their parents.. well unless they dont care to much cause they know their kids know better, like my parents did. eaither way its like the circle of life, lol

heck even some of the more recent Nintendo commercails are passing alittle over that line.. if i'm not mistaken the Mario soccer commercial has mario goign around kicking people.. lol, actually thats kinda funny..

That's because he lost a title bout and Nintendo felt that people didn't want to fight a "loser." So they took him out of the game and replaced him with Mr. Dream, who was like Tyson, except he was white. The name was also changed to just plain "Punch-Out!!"

Then they made a game for Buster Douglas, the man who beat tyson, and then he lost to Evander Holyfield and then made game for him.
