Plus the movie player unlockable option where you could play the endings of all Tekkens was a really cool bonus. BUT, I haven't got my hands on Tekken 5 yet, and I've heard it is the penultimate of the Tekken games. I can't wait. (Actually, I guess I have been waiting technically)

I've heard this could be the last or one more. That's just what I'm hearing, though. Personally if they keep the storylines going and the fight engine strong, I'd play Tekken 20. Is it true ALL previous versions of the game are unlockable on Tekken 5? Also, I know they are fun characters, but is anyone with me on thinking the animal characters and the wooden man don't belong in this mostly serious fighter?

noshadow 7 years 8 months ago Posts: 341	Yeah, Tekken's storyline is in pieces and confusing at best, but there is an ongoing main storyline involving the Mishima clan (Heihachi, Kazuya, Jin, etc.), but they also have storylines for everyone else. If you are really interested, there a great dedicated website with the storylines from every game. http://www.tekkenzaibatsu.com/

Cigarette Smoking Man 7 years 1 month ago Posts: 478	As it stands right now, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection is the lastest, best, and most finely tuned in terms of balance and gameplay. It's out in the Arcades right now, and it's an update to console T5. It's also the best looking, and to answer someone's previous question, yes, Tekken 1,2,3 are all unlockable in arcade perfect form on console T5.

tha raw seven 7 years 1 month ago Posts: 2441	tekken 3 and tekken tag tournament are the best. my favorite characters were paul, law, jen, eddie, bruce, and jen's cousin.(forgot his name) but the last level in tekken 3 is so easy

Oldschoolgamer83 4 years 11 months ago Posts: 2879	Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection on PS3 complete with online play is the best right now, though I think Tekken 6 will top it. Tekken 1-3 are also real solid games, but I can't say I was a huge fan of 4.
