YouTube Sucks Thread

This serves as a partial continuation of "Youtube or Livevideo?". What I hate about YouTube: People who post videos with descriptions like this (including unrelated tags): This video is funny. ----- britney spears espn barry bonds pokemon nintendo america anna nicole aliens puppies racism hbo smurfs baseball. People who name videos vaguely (with descriptions being the same as the title), example: title: cartoons. description: cartoons. People who post braindead spam on video comments, like: "In 1932 Bill Cosby shot George Washington and went Lamabamascumadingo Now post this as a comment on three other videos or you will die in two days." What complaints do you have about YT?

Thylacine 6 years 2 months ago Posts: 3114	The usual "Greedy companies forcing them to take down shows" complaint. Also, those "Post this in three forums or you'll die" spam posts. (Although, I've seen a couple "parodies" that were rather amusing.) But you find those everywhere you can post comments, so that's not really just for Youtube. Anything that's just plain stupid (like someone jumping up and down yelling "Booga Booga" for two minuets for example) People that post "haha u sux an ur videeo dos 2 LOL!!!ONE!" type posts and the people that egg them on. Again, not just for Youtube, but still pretty common over there.

pikachulover 6 years 2 months ago Posts: 6110	people who leave meaningless comments like "OMg thaT ViDeo WuZ KOOOooooL!!!111111one" videos that cut off and say "to watch the rest of this video please go to (name of site)". I agree about the vague and unrelated tags though.

Ilikethepixies 6 years 2 months ago Posts: 6779 Banned	If you are browsing the internet for silly videos, you are going to encounter some dumb shits talking some dumb shit. That's like going to a Star Wars convention and complaining about all the nerds. It comes along with the territory, and chances are, if you're at a Star Wars convention, you might be more of a nerd than you think. Same goes with browsing YouTube for goofy videos. Also, these companies own the copyrighted material they are wanting to be taken down. They can do whatever they want with it. They spent the money to produce it or buy the rights to it, so guess what? Its their's! They have the right to keep it locked up in a vault if they so please... even if its that Darkwing Duck episode you reeaaalllyyy love. I think YouTube is a pretty good idea, but when you use it, you have to realize that you've just joined the ranks of every other bottomfeeding, pirating thief and not complain about the inferior service you are getting.

99Centsplease 6 years 2 months ago Posts: 1050	As a result of seeing the light on "pirates", I rarely go to YouTube anymore. I also dislike when people post videos of lesbian kisses because "hot xxx action" is not the site's purpose. I'm surprised most of those vids haven't been taken down yet. And NO, I'm NOT HOMOPHOBIC. I also hate when people post videos nobody wants to see like a chubby kid rubbing bacon grease all over himself.

Those 2 minute grainy, webcam videos of some dork who simply could not post a comment on the original video saying how much they like or dislike what was in there. No, they have to make a whole other video, and upload it! It waste space and bandwidth on something that maybe three people will watch! Jesus, get a life!!!

tyrusspunk 6 years 1 month ago Posts: 427	I believe youtube sucks, because they removed tons of retro shows and stuff that was owned by viacom, and they are always removing stuff like that. Its b/c viacom wants to sue them. Viacom needs to put some shows on dvd, and quit worrying. There a friggin billion+ dollar company, confirmed by wikipedia, and theyre worrying bout a few small clips and episodes of old shows, that cant be obtained, even legally, anywhere else.

Someone I know, who goes by the moniker robotsindisguiseneco, got his account suspended because he uploaded full episodes of the Gobots. These were episodes which I had on my Gobots Blog. It was like who in the fucking hell do you think you are? :mad: Youtube shouldn't have gone into business with Google that's all I have to say about that.:rolleyes:
