favorites for me would have to be "battletoads" even if i never made it past the hovercicle stage, "bionic comando", "burger time" very good arcade port, and "super mario 3"simply because it had the best graphics seen on the NES, i found it better than the SNES port.

I remembered there was a code for Mike Tysons Punch Out, I used it alot cause I could beat everyone but for some reason had problems defeating Super Macho Man. So after losing to him, I'd just reset and play Mike.

Also there was a game called Solomon's Key, I remember my friend told me about it and I ended up liking it, but whenever I'd mention it, noone else knew about it.

Holy crap, I forgot all about Startropics. I think I beat that once. And that means a lot, because I'm one of those rare people that was never able to beat ANY of the Mario games. No one mentioned Bucky O'Hare, I don't think, which was a bitchin' game. I remember this one part where you had to land on these flying cart things to get to the entrance of something. They'd go whizzing so damn fast and you had to time your jumps just right or you'd go plummeting to your death. Someone also mentioned Master Blaster, which was also bitchin'. No one here a Bionic Commando fan, eh? Weird game.

    double dragon 1&2 were awesome
    Zelda 1&2
    Punch-out
World Cup Soccer (had the same character design as River City Ransom)
    DuckTales
Mega Man 2 (best mega man game)
    Maniac Mansion
    Final Fantasy

and the most underrated game ever was Spiritual Warfare in my opinion, that game was just as good if not better than zelda

    :D

I was so young when I used to play Nintendo with my brother. My favorite games were Super Mario Brother's (2 and 3, didn't care much for the first), Zelda, the Barbie game (Corny, I know), Teenage Mutan Ninja Turtles, Mega Man, Double Dragan, most of the racing games, the nightmare on elm street game, Mission Impossible, Big nose the cave man, etc. There are so many more though.

    My Top 3 NES Games:

    3) Gauntlet
    2) Kid Icarus
    1) Super Mario Bros. (1985)

I have a story about Gauntlet that I would like to share with those familiar with it. Back in the early '90s, I went over to a friend's house on a Friday evening and we played that game for a couple hours. We were both Archers/Elves, so we raced through the levels. On one of the latter levels, time was expiring and we were both "about to die". Well, my friend "died" and turned into jewels/treasure. I picked up the treasure and in the nick of time found the EXIT with only two seconds remaining. Unfortunately, I ended up getting killed a few seconds into the next level.

    Those were the days!!!
