I've been playing mostly Genesis and Snes games lately, Chrono Trigger, Shining Force, Sonic 2 and 3, and of course Super Mario RPG (best game for the SNES IMO, next being Final Fantasy III) :P

I disagree highly, FFIII is not only the best RPG for SNES but probly the best game foe SNES period!!!! To each their own I always say. If you like Super Mario RPG better then cool, But dude FINAL FANTASY III!!!!!

Well, it was a difficult decision, but I'm goin with SMRPG cause I probably played that game more than any other game I own (And thats saying a lot). I spent over 200 hours on FF III alone, and it is awesome, but seeing my main man Mario with Bowser and Princess peach kickin ass in an RPG was just too much fun!! :D

Now I think I'm gonna start another game of SMRPG now :P

Now I must say has any one played Squares greatest creation Secret of Evermore. that game just brought everything a good rpg should have. and made it better. Sure say it wasn't a true rpg i agree but damn it had all the elements of a great game and hell its just way to damn good to not mention.

Yeah, both the Secret of Evermore and the Secret of Mana games were like that. Not a traditional RPG but more of an "Action RPG". Both were very good games. :)

NES: Just finished Zelda 2 and Dragon Warriors 3 and 4. I'm partway through Dragon Warrior 2 but I've never been able to bring myself to finish that game. I've also been playing some Ducktales lately.

    SNES: Mr. Do.

I'm also trying to get my wife to go through Chrono Trigger, because she's never played it and it's one of the greatest games since Pong.

Time Pilot was great! I spent a ton of quarters on that game.

Does anyone remember a simlarly-themed game, except you were on foot instead of flying a plane? I don't remember if you were fighting or shooting or what, but you were going through different time periods like in Time Pilot. I sort of remember it being two players, and from an overhead perspective like Commando or Ikari Warriors.

Do you use authentic controllers? I currently only have an NES FourScore (adapted to USB) with two authentic NES controllers, but I plan to get a USB adapter for SNES as well.

This is totally the way to go. I have Halo with an x-box controller usb adaptor. I didn't know they had nes controller usb adaptors but I just ordered a SNES controller usb from the net. Check out what they got at ebay.
