Is this for real? I think he was trying to cash in on the kids market, like what Bill Cosby did with Fat Albert and his other childrens programs. Allah rest his soul.

Back in those days allot of blue humored comedians were going the G rated way Steve Martin(some of his material was dirty), Robin Williams, Lilly Tomlin, even Cheech and Chongs well at least Cheech were toning down. But the biggest shock to me was flipping through the channels and seeing an animated cartoon show featuring the rock group the Mentors on NBC which didn't last long I guess someone at NBC actually heard their lyrics.

Wow. I didn't know Richard Pryor had his own TV show... musta been a gas... I've heard his tapes and own four of the movies he was in.
