WCW attempted an expansion with Thursday Thunder to try and make more money by accomodating their rather large roster of wrestlers. Fans didn't have to wait a week for their story continuation, they only had to wait 4 days. Truth be told the existence of Thunder can be widely credited for the subsequent creation of WWF's Smackdown. But halfway into their running Thunder became the spotlight for WCW's 2nd and 3rd stringers leaving the best of the best for Nitro.

WCW Thunder was a great show, but like others said it lacked the excitement of Nitro.

Thunder was good when NWO was running crazy during the time they first start airing it

The best match on Thunder was Chris Benoit and DDP vs Raven and Perry Saturn. I wish I could see that match again.

Thunder was good although on those weeks that RAW wasn't on in it's 1AM timeslot I used to watch RAW whilst it was on.
