Remington Steele

Show Summary

Aired: 1982 - 1987
Show Type: Live Action
Country of Origin: US

Private investagator Laura Holt was once ignored by all, because they think a lady P.I. is nothing but too femine. So she decides to create a fictional detective named Remington Steele, and that obviously worked because since then people come into her office asking her to solve cases. But then one day an occasional crook came in initially to rob Laura's stuff just to meet Remington Steele. But when he found out that there is no Remington Steele, and since no one knew his real name, not even himself, he & Laura decides to make himself be Remington Steele. And the rest is history.

Trivia: Brosnan would have been James Bond earlier had he not had a contract obligation to keep producing Remington Steele episodes.

Actually, the last part of the description is slightly wrong."he & Laura decides to make himself be Remington Steele." What actually happened (after reviewing the first 2 episodes) was that Laura didn't consent, Remington placed the title on himself and Laura's clients. It wasn't until a few episodes later that eventually they got along with the idea, but for a while (atleast for half of the first season) there was slight distention between the two that slowly dispelled as the episodes wore on.

I just though that I would mention it. No hard feelings to the person who wrote the show content!

I never really got into this show, but that theme sure does bring back memories since my dad watched it religiously...

I love this show. I have all 5 seasons. Season 5 isn't my favorite, but I love how they finally get together in the end.
