Charlie Chalk was a circus clown who fell asleep one day on his boat, and ended up of the mysterious island of Merrytwit.
Merrytwit was home to a number of crazy characters, such as Trader Jones, Captain Mildred, Edward, Louis T Duck, Mary the Fairy, Litterbug, Arnold and Bert.
The series told of the adventures and mishaps that occured of Merrytwit Island.
The only series of 13 shows was aired on CBBC in 1987, but was repeated for years later.
