Adam-12 absolutely ruled back in the day. Too bad they don't try to revive it now, like they did in the 90's.

My goodness, does dispatch have any other units out?
They seem to get all the calls. No wonder why there not running code. I will be in no hurry myself!

This was another Jack Webb great. Probably out of the norm for a girl born in the mid-1980s, I grew up with "Dragnet" (thanks, Nick at Nite) and was a fan from a young age---I actually had never seen "Adam-12" until I was about 13 or 14 years old when TV Land started running it. I love this show; there's such accuracy and realism. And Kent McCord doesn't hurt, either...

The female dispatcher you hear in the intro is Shaaron Claridge, who was a real LAPD radio dispatcher! Check out Adam-12 on Wikipedia and you'll see. That's why she sounds so authentic. Hats off to Jack Webb for making this show as real as possible.
