WWE Monday Night RAW

Show Summary

Aired: 1993 - Unknown
Show Type: Live Action
Country of Origin: US

WWE (formerly WWF) Monday Night RAW was the first major wrestling promotion to earn a primetime weeknight slot on cable television in 1993. It's first major source of competition on the airwaves was WCW's "Monday Nitro" which premiered in 1995. The premiere of Nitro started the Monday Night Wars, which encompassed three companies (the one missing being ECW) for the next 6 years in a fight for power of the cable market. Ultimately, due to ECW's poor financial health (WWE loaned them $500,000 in 1998) and WCW losing its main backer (Ted Turner), WWE won the Monday Night Wars. Currently, this is one of the three brands that are on cable (one being SmackDown! and the other being ECW). It can be confusing at times when WWE tries to establish RAW, SmackDown! and ECW as seperate shows, when wrestlers cross over into other shows quite frequently with little or no explanation. Here are the current champions:
WWE Champion:John Cena
Intercontinental Champion:Umaga
Womens Champion:Melina
World Tag Team Champions:The Hardy Boys

Last I saw the Warrior, he was real weak looking and withered.

(SIGH) I miss Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby Henan as commentators. They had great chemistry...

I miss the good ol' days. I couldn't even say what the storylines are now. Too much repetition! I know Jeff Hardy has faced Johnny Nitro in the last, what, THREE pay-per-views?!!? Boring...Mix it up! Have Jeff Hardy face someone OTHER than Nitro!!!

Yea i agree withhe guy above me. Jeff Hardy is my favorite wrestler and id rather see him face Shawn Micheals or John Cena
