Yusuke Urameshi was a tough teen delinquent until one selfless act changed his life...by ending it. When he died saving a little kid from a speeding car, the afterlife didn't know what to do with him, so he became a troubleshooter who protects the living from ghosts, monsters and demons!
This show was based on the super hit Manga written by Yoshihiro Togashi.Togashi won the coveted Tezuka Manga Awards. Yuyu Hakusho means "Poltergeist Report" or "Ghost Files." My theory is that the character, Yusuke, was composed from the show's title.
