Didn't they do commercials for Tigercubs (younger boyscouts)?

I was a big fan of this show also...but was surprised to learn that Ray Stephens, who played Roy on the show, was also the Policeman for the Village People on their 1985 album, "Sex Over the Phone". Bizarre!!

What was the names of the huggles? I thought they had individual names. I was in my 20s when I watched, I couldn't remember the name of it, but I thought I remembered the name M.T. Promises I googled it and that's how I found the name of the show. It was driving me crazy because I could remember the show but not the name of it. So does anyone remember the huggles names or am I remembering it wrong.

This show started in 1979. Coolest thing for me ever was meeting the composer of the theme song Anne Bryant, at JemCon 2009. I told her that this song was why I became a musician. Now in my 30s I can look back on this and say this is where if all began. If you are curious, Anne also wrote the theme song The Transformers More Than Meets The Eye (and she is credited in both live action movies) Jem "We Are The Misfits" version, and 99.99998 of the Jem, the Misfits, and The Stinger's songs from the series.

I loved this show, but was it regional? I grew up in NJ and my friends there remember it, but I now live in Virginia and nobody seems to know what I'm talking about here.
