Garfield and Friends is based on comic strips by Jim Davis and featured cartoons starring Garfield as well as cartoons starring his friends from U.S. Acres. Before They start the show they passed some spesials episodes that you can buy in DVD and video. The show was back on TV 3 times on Nick 1998-1999, Toon disney 2004-2005, now it's aired on boomerang.It also aired originaly on cbs 1988-1995. It was on in the morning and when most kids got home from school. On toon disney the time slots where unreal (midnight-1:00) and eventualy got kicked off the air partly because of jetix and its time slot.On nickelodeon it once came on after Charley Brown arbor day. It came on after Nick.Jr ended.

I read the cartoons in the newpaper every week when I was little, but never watched the show.

I remember they cut away from Garfield to show Nelson Mandela getting out of prison and I got so mad that it got pre-empted

Garfield. One unique cat. He brought humor, laziness, and carelessness of what and how much food he has eaten to the viewers. What keeps Garfield alive today is the memories and of course, the daily comic strips.
