This was Hanna-Barbera's first attempt at an adult-oriented animated show to appear in prime time since "The Flintstones". It featured animated comedy sketches in the style of Saturday Night Live (SNL's network, NBC, aired the show). It also featured some brilliantly produced animated shorts by independent filmmakers. The program lasted for at least a good 6 months before it faded into ratings obscurity and was finally cancelled. Though for the time it remained on TV, there was no other program like it ever (with the exception of 2 particular sketches H-B produced for the 70's prime time sitcom "Love American Style".
