"Marshall, Will and Holly, on a routine expedition, when the greatest earthquake every known..." Thus began the folksy intro theme song to one of Sid & Marty Kroft's greatest live-action TV shows of all time. Rick Marshall, his son Will and daughter Holly while canoeing a river experience an earthquake turning their river into rapids and they fall deep into the Earth. They find themselves washed ashore a jungle beach where giant dinosaurs, ape-like creatures and evil reptilian-humanoids called Sleestaks live. Not quite sure whether they're on Earth or somewhere else, the Marshalls try to live safely and find a way home. (In the 90's, Nickelodeon and ABC, in association with Sid & Marty Kroft once more, brought back the show for a single season.)
