PJ Katie's Farm

Show Summary

Aired: 1996 - 1998
Show Type: Live Action
Country of Origin: CANADA

PJ Katie's Farm was a children's television show that aired on a Canadian children's channel YTV. It was a 15 minute show which lasted for 30 episodes.

It starred Jennifer Raicott, aka PJ Katie, who dressed up as a farmer and would tell stories and adventures of plasticine farmyard animals . The animals consisted of: Dippae the Cat, Bryce the Collie Colie, Rosebeekee the magenta hamster, Delilah the cow, D'arci the goose, Blue the horse, Ed the rabbit, Demi the rooster, Percival the pig, mailman, Buffalo Tom and The Egg from Outer Space. PJ Katie would do the voices herself in her own whacky way and would improvise the story as the show went on. Some accidental mistakes by PJ Katie were noticeable such as knocking the amimals over with her arms or elbows and quickly apologizing to the animal to cover up the accident.

PJ Katie's Farm was popular amongst many children and it is said that it was also popular with older audiences such as college students, who appreciated PJ Katie's hyperactiveness in the show.

The theme song was sung by YTV's PJ Aashna and then would be followed by PJ Katie's greeting: "You are here for PJKTYSFRMPJKTYSFRMPJKTYSFRM!"

Theme Song Lyrics
On Katie's Farm, imagination's the rule,
Dippe the cat, so calm and cool;
Jenny and D'arci and Ed come along,
Delilah the Cow she's everyone's mom;
Bryce the Collie barks and runs free,
while Blue the Horse naps under a tree;
Percival pig just squeals all the time!
Rosebeekee hamster whiiiines!
Join the gang for adventures and fun,
Katie's farm is for everyone!

The show stopped airing in the late 90's, probably because Nelvana Ltd bought the rights to PJ Kate's Farm in 1998.
