G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero

Show Summary

Aired: 1983 - 1986
Show Type: Animated
Country of Origin: US

G.I. Joe is the code name for America’s daring, highly trained special mission force. Its purpose: to defend human freedom against Cobra, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world! And from 1983 to 1987, it entertained children six days a week with realistic animation (for the day), superior scripts that have stood the test of time, and its positive moral messages. The cartoon is most memorable for its superb vocal talent. From Flint to Cobra Commander, each and every voice stood apart and still echoes in the ears of its truly avid fans. Yo Joe!

Known as Action Force outside United States.

Gi Joe,Transformers,He-Man,Superfriends,Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends,Thundercats,M.A.S.K, was the cartoons to run home from school and watch while eating a ton of junkfood.

" Now we know."

And knowing is half the battle.

This show gave me a lifelong love for the military. I even joined the military when I was 18. By then I knew that I wasn't going to be a member of "America's daring highly trained special mission force", heck I wasn't even regular special forces, but I did my part to "defend Human freedom."

So, thank you GI Joe for giving me the strength to do what was right throughout my life.
