Starblazers

I found a picture for you guys to use here. This was one of the first "Anime" series I remember seeing way back when.

The precursor of the anime "Yamato" and now "Battleship Nadeisco".

I remembered 2 versions of Starblazers that aired. The original english version & the original Japanese version (Space cruiser Yamato) that aired locally on KSCI TV 18 on sundays.

searching for a distant star
heading off to Iscandar
evil men with evil schemes
they can't destroy all our dreams
we must be strong and brave
out home we've got to save
for if we don't in just one year
mother earth will disappear

i have had this song running in my head for almost 30 years... this 'toon was awesome

does anybody know if this show was any good?
