This show is based on a marvel comic series. It follows a group that are considered the Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The initial cast consisted of Ant-Man, Wasp, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Tigra, Falcon and Wonder Man. In one of the earliest episodes, Wonder Man is put into a coma and his brain patterns are programmed into the Vision, an android built by the Avengers' robotic enemy Ultron. Vision would then join in Wonder Man's stead. Wonder Man wouldn't return to consciousness until the end of the series' run. Among the villians they fought were Ultron, Kang the Conqueror, The Circus of Crime, Attuma and The Zodiac Cartel.
Though the show was the most popular in its timeslot, it only lasted one season. Though it may have been popular with the Saturday Morning crowd, it didn't do as well with the older comics' fans. Criticisms of the show include the exclusion of popular Avengers characters Captain America, Iron Man and Thor, the setting of the show in "the not too distant future", and the use of a flashy armor-style costume design along with transformation sequences. Personally, I thought it was a pretty good show.
