I remember the day this show changed my life. I waited patiently in front of the television each morning when the show came on. I watched the entire 15 minutes of the show excluding the 15 minutes of commericials (at least I think). At the end of each episode the host would look through a magic oversized maginifying glass that would allow her to see into the rooms of families across the world. During the episode, I had one wish. I wanted her to see into our apartment. The small two bedroom apartment was filled with everything an only child could ask for. My final wish however, was to be noticed. The day had come. She annouced all the boys and girls that she had seen. Finally, she said the magic words..."I see Karen" "OH MY GOODNESS!" "She said my name!" "Mommy, She said my name!" I couldn't believe it. I wanted her to see me. On this day, she did! I was overjoyed...so much so that I cried. I really can't remember if I missed school or not that day. I do remember crying and being consoled by my mother. That was the episode that changed my life. Everyone deserves to be seen by the world!
