Marlo (Laurie Faso) was a programmer at the L. Dullo Corporation, run by Leo Dullo, who forces Marlo to move to the basement of his company's building. There, Marlo, using spare computer parts, builds and programs a machine that not only plays video (in film format; this was the 70's, when digital video formats were still in development), but also had artificial intelligence, and a voice simulator to boot (Mert Koplin played the voice). Each week, with the aid of his Magic Movie Machine, Marlo would introduce kids to lots of interesting people, places, and things around our world. Occasional guest star appearances were also part of the program agenda.
