Nils Holgersson is about a little boy who lives with his family on a farm in Sweden. he isn't very kind to the animals who are living on the farm and one day, he catches a leprachaun and refuses to let him go. The leprachaun puts a spell on Nils and Nils becomes very little, together with his hamster. The leprachaun disapears and now Nils is stuck with his spell. All the animals on the farm laugh about Nils and there's no one who wants to help him. When a bunch of wild geese fly over the farm, the goose on the farm wants to go with them. He tries to fly away, but he doesn't succeed. But when he tries again, Nils catches a little band that's round the goose's neck and flies off (together with his hamster).. When he saves some geese from a fox, the wild geese descide they can travel along with them. With many adventures and, of course, learning the facts-of-life.
