Muppet Babies

Show Summary

Aired: 1984 - 1991
Show Type: Animated
Country of Origin: US

The famous Jim Henson Muppets before they became stars, back when they were still babies. The show centered around the children's use of imagination to turn their ordinary nursery into an exciting world of adventure. More often than not, Kermit was the de facto leader of their activities, which included all the memorable cast of the 70s series (Rowf, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Animal, Fozzie, Scooter, and even his long lost twin sister Skeeter. Whatever happened to her?), as well as the mysterious caretaker Nanny, noticed only by her green striped socks and soft voice. Even as young muppets, the group loved to sing songs about everything. Outside The US (Canada, UK, Dania, etc.) The program is handled by the Walt Disney Company.

I used to have a Muppet Babies Kermit the frog battery operated toothbrush when I was about 3... I also remember making a giant papier mache model of Kermits head with my Mum.

I loved this show, but I always wondered what nanny looked like. To this day it is a mystery.

I greatly enjoyed watching this show back in the 80s on CBS and early 90s on other networks.
