Wow! Am I really the 1st person to post a comment on this show?! I guess I am, lol! So many memories of this show. I remember how I would sometimes sing along with Fred, lol. I always liked the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. Remember Purple Panda? How about that greedy stealing jerk, All Mine, who stole Daniel Tiger's Clock home. He had a book with a bunch of pictures of things that he claimed all belong to him and Daniel's Clock was one of the things in the book. Remember Lady Elaine Fairchilde and her Boomerang Toomerang Soomerang? She could get annoying sometimes. I always liked the operas they put on in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. I have tons of Mr. Rogers' memories. I couldn't possibly get them all down here on one post. Here are a couple memories that stand out in my mind that I'll share with ya. I remember an episode when Fred went to Joe Negri's Music Shop and took a drum lesson. He was taught drum exercises (rudiments) like the Paradiddle and the Ratamacue. I think I remember the instructor teaching him to sound out the words of the rudiments as he played them. Fred got a pair of sticks and a practice pad. I thought that was so cool because at that time, I had just started taking drum lessons myself. I had just gotten my own pair of sticks and a practice pad too! I was about 8 years old at the time. I actually knew the rudiments that he was being taught and that was such a big deal to me, lol. Also, there was an episode with Lou Ferrigno on the set of The Incredible Hulk, another of my all time fav tv shows. I loved this episode. I'm into bodybuilding/fitness and Lou has been a major inspiration for me over the years. It showed a kind of "behind the scenes" look into the making of the Hulk episode "The Homecoming" as well as showing Lou's makeup process, which were both greatly appreciated! As a kid, I always wanted to know how they did his makeup. Fred Rogers made that possible. Thank you, Mr. Rogers. RIP

This show used to scare the crap out of me, those in the Pittsburgh area may remember that the show was sponsored by Eat n Park, and there was an ad for the restaurant at the beginning and end of every show, where a scary announcer sang, "Eat n Park's the place for smiles!" and they sang it to this scary tune, I was petrified to death!

Haha, I remember that Eat n Park ad! It sort of sounded like Luis Armstrong. I love watching Mr Rodgers as a kid, and one of my friends told me he used to be a sniper in WWII! O.o
